Have you ever faced the frustrating issue of audio sync drift in your videos? 🤔 You start with perfectly synced audio, but as your video progresses, the sound gradually falls out of sync, making your content less polished and professional. But fear not! In this comprehensive tutorial, I'll walk you through not only how to fix audio sync drift but also why it happens in the first place, so you can prevent it from occurring again in the future! Audio sync drift commonly plagues multicam edits, whether it's interviews, music videos, or concert footage. And there are two primary culprits behind this annoyance: Different Audio Sample Rates: Audio is typically recorded at either 44.1kHz (music standard) or 48kHz (video standard). Ensuring that your audio sample rates match is crucial. If you're recording audio separately or syncing a music track to your footage, make sure it's set to 48kHz. Otherwise, you'll encounter sync drift issues. Divergent Frame Rates: Mismatched frame rates between your camera angles can also lead to audio sync drift over time. For instance, if your main camera is shooting at 24fps while a secondary camera is at 30fps, you're likely to experience sync issues, especially in longer videos.
