The first time I realized the capabilities of 32 bit float in post-production - my mind was blown! If you've been following our journey for the past year then you've seen the Zoom F6 pop up in nearly all our videos and photos. Since November 2019, I've used this recorder in all types of situations, however, I've never shown how different 24 bit vs 32 bit is!

AUDIO DUCKING - Reducing music volume in Final Cut Pro so you can hear talking
In this short video I'm talking about audio ducking - reducing the volume of music so talking can be heard. overly loud background music can be really annoying if people cant hear dialogue when watching a video so its really important to get level correct so talking can be heard. Luckily it is really easy in Final Cut to edit music volume so talking can be heard clearly and Im showing you exactly how to do just that in todays video.

I've had some issues in the past removing background noise in FCPX and in this video I'm showing you a few of the ways I have removed static noise in final cut. It is always annoying when you get a clip into your editor only to realise that it has an annoying hiss, static noise or background noise but using FCPX there are a few ways you can fix this.

This video is geared towards the beginner learning to improve audio. I am using a Shure SM57, and Native Instruments integrated amp, into OBS on a MAC. You should really use a good set of headphones to edit audio.

Nowadays the only thing that really limits VFX is the time that can be spent on it, or in other words; the budget. If production companies are willing to pay for the time it takes to get the VFX perfect, they WILL BE PERFECT. Unfortunately, this doesn't always translate into a box office hit. Although cheap and poorly executed VFX can make a good movie bad, high-quality VFX won't make a bad movie good.

Niet alle muziek die je in je film wil gebruiken hoeft je geld te kosten. Op het internet stellen een heleboel muzikanten hun muziek gratis ter beschikking via de licenties van Creative Commons. Daarnaast is er ook rechtenvrije muziek die je vrij mag gebruiken omdat ze tot het publieke domein behoort. Er rust dan geen auteursrecht meer op het werk.

Woensdag 9 februari 2022 om 20 uur in het Auditorium van Het Bolwerk, Bolwerkstraat 17 te Vilvoorde is er FILMVERGADERING met bekroonde kortfilms en een korte cursus over belichting:
- “Silent Love”, een liefdeshistorie (7') van twee jonge mensen die elkaar in de bibliotheek ontmoeten.
- “The Art of Love”, een speelfilm (11'20”) van een jonge fotograaf die een vrouw ontmoet in het park. Een film met veel actie en knappe close-up's.
- “Different”, een speelfilm (5'17”) van een jongen die een jogster niet helpt wanneer die valt. Later wordt duidelijk waarom.
- “Cinematic Lighting”, een documentaire (18'41”) waarin op aanschouwelijke wijze wordt uitgelegd hoe men een professioneel resultaat bekomt na het aanpassen van de belichting.
Woensdag 16 februari 2022 om 20 uur in het Auditorium van Het Bolwerk, Bolwerkstraat 17 te Vilvoorde is er FILMVERGADERING met:
- “Kerstconcert Jo Vally”, een reportage (48') van Vebi Elezi van het kerstconcert van de Vlaamse zanger Jo Vally dat door leden van onze club werd gefilmd en op Kerstdag uitgezonden door RINGtv. Aan de filmopnamen namen 5 clubleden deel: Vebi Elezi, Bjarne Jakus, Bart Gerber, Johan Leemans en Fred Lamon. Er werden ook opnamen gemaakt door een cineast van RINGtv en door Jozef Simons, een vriend van Vebi. Zowel van de filmopnamen als van de montage zal een grondige bespreking worden gehouden met de bedoeling de kwaliteit van toekomstige projecten te verbeteren.
- Deze avond keren we 100 jaar terug in de tijd. De eerste films stelden niet veel voor omdat de toeschouwers al voldoende gefascineerd waren door het bewegend beeld maar het duurde niet lang vooraleer er knappe vindingrijke trucs en oplossingen werden bedacht om het publiek met speelfilms te boeien. Iedereen kent wel Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel en Oliver Hardy (den dikke en den dunne), maar de topper van de stomme film is ongetwijfeld Buster Keaton. Zijn films zitten vol actie en stunts die hij bovendien zelf uitvoerde. Een montage van een vijftal minuten toont een aantal van zijn meest opmerkelijke stunts.
- “Safety First”, een speelfilm uit 1923 met Harold Lloyd. Het is één van de bekendste en meest succesvolle films uit die tijd. We bekijken een fragment van 7'34” waarin de spanning op een sublieme wijze wordt opgebouwd met beelden, want geluid kon toen nog niet.
