Uitnodiging : Filmvoorstelling + muzikale begeleiding.

Zin in een gratis unieke film ervaring, dan zit je met The Hunchback of the Notre Dame 200% juist. Deze klassieker uit 1923 komt voor één keer terug tot leven op het witte doek. En niet zomaar een gewone voorstelling maar een voorstelling waarbij je muzikale ondersteuning krijgt door een beiaard. Het is niet alledaags dat we deze zaken combineren maar in de Brugse cinema de Liberty (Zwart Huis) krijg je alweer de kans om een speciale film ervaring te beleven. Beiaardier Frank Stijns (Nl) zal op 13/6 deze film voor ons muzikaal begeleiden in het kader van de opening van het Brugse beiaardseizoen 2015. Een voorstelling dat volledig gratis is en aangeboden wordt door de dienst Cultuur Brugge.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is een klassieker uit de tijd van de stille films, gebaseerd op het boek van Victor Hugo. Met Lon Chaney (de grootvader van de special effects ) in de hoofdrol en in een regie van Wallace Worseley was dit lange tijd het paradepaardje van de Universal Studio’s. Een klassieker om U tegen te zeggen.
